Retired your Christmas decorations, your home feeling a little empty? Let’s take a look at how to create the perfect winter gallery wall to bring some life back into your space!
Von Edvin BrobeckSTEP ONE
The first step to creating an ideal Winter gallery wall is to measure the total space you are looking to fill. For example, if it’s the space above your sofa, you will only need to only measure the distance between the sofa and the ceiling. Next, you can decide on the arrangement you’d like to go for.
We recommend choosing based on the amount of space you want to fill which includes vertical, horizontal or square arrangements. Vertical arrangements are best for narrow spaces and empty walls, also known as the ‘Floor To Ceiling Grid’.
The Horizontal arrangement is ideal for wide spaces above the couch or the wall across the dinner table! Finally, the square arrangement is recommended for ‘Half Wall Grids, ideal above a dresser or bench!
STEP TWO
For a simple, yet eye-catching gallery wall, the next step is choosing 4 to 8 framed prints and of course, these can be of varying sizes! Getting the spacing right is more important than you think. First tip is to keep your framed prints about 2 to 3 inches apart, with consistent spacing between each artwork. Remember to think of your gallery wall as a single piece of art that regardless of your arrangement should always be cohesive.
